I'm Piotr Gorczyca. I'm originally from Poland, but I moved to North Jutland, Denmark, with my family, and we have made our home here.
Photography has been my biggest passion for many years. Although I've spent my professional life working in a different industry, I've always found time for my camera. It has taken me to some fascinating places, introduced me to interesting people and given me plenty of experiences I wouldn't otherwise have had.
My main photographic interests have long been wildlife and nature, as well as historical reenactment. I also enjoy portrait and lifestyle photography, including photographing my wife's handmade clothing and accessories, as well as aerial landscapes. More recently, I've started exploring aviation photography, which has become a new interest of mine.
I also enjoy food photography, particularly photographing my own homemade smoked meats, sausages and other food creations. I like being involved in the whole process, from preparing the food to styling and photographing the finished result.
Historical reenactment is particularly close to my heart. I love photographing the people, the atmosphere and those brief moments when a scene feels like something from another century. Wildlife photography is a very different experience. It often means hours of waiting, sometimes in rather uncomfortable conditions, but getting the shot makes it worthwhile.
I've also spent time working with Photoshop and designing posters for historical events. It's something I enjoy, although photography has always been my main creative interest.
I've had the pleasure of presenting my photographs at exhibitions in Poland and Norway, including two solo exhibitions.
For me, photography has never been just about getting a technically perfect picture. What matters most is capturing something worth remembering.
